"Where are we?" Karen asked, as she stepped out of the car. Her head hurt and she ignored the dried blood on her. "Missy? Are we really going to trust Matt?"
"I don't see where we have a choice?" Missy said. Walking around the car. She took ahold of Karen's hand. "I'm sorry I got you into this."
"Save the mushy stuff later." Matt said. "Come on."
"Where are we going?" Karen asked.
"You women ask to many questions." Matt said. "We are outside of town and this old warehouse is the only safe place for now."
Karen looked at Missy. "I don't think we are safe with him."
"No one is safe." Matt said. "The virus is out there and soon everyone will be infected, unless I can get the dosage to undo the virus."
"So let me get this straight." Karen said, as she and Missy followed Matt. "You found the cure for cancer and other illness. Instead you messed with the cure and created it for warfare, wanting to sell it to the highest bidder, and now that the virus is out, you want to do the right thing and find the cure so the first cure will save people."
"Something like that." Matt said.
Karen kept Missy close to her as the two of them walked through the metal doors. The smell of bleach hit her as she saw people walking around in masks. White garments, plastic gloves. There were no doors only hospital beds with people strapped to them. Karen looked at Matt.
The virus makes them violent. Their strength is ten times stronger and have a short temper. All they want to do is destroy."
"Modern medicine." Karen said. "Who is looking for us?"
"I had a meeting set up. I was finally going to be rich, and was going to leave the country." Matt said.
"Without me?" Missy asked.
"Then Miss was snooping and found the formula and well, the apartment was being watched and now both of you are a target. They want the three of us dead." Matt said.
"Then we can't stay here." Karen said. "Maybe we should leave the country?"
"We are lucky to get out of city. They are not going to let us out of the country." Matt said.
"We could if we have a plane." Karen said.
"Can't use the cell phones." Matt said.
"Then we will just have to find Trece and fly to an island or someplace." Karen said.
"Great." Missy said. "My life is over as I know it."
"It is your fault. You were the one snooping." Karen said. "What was that?"
"They are not responding to the medicine." Matt yelled. "We gotto go. Run!"
Karen grabbed Missy's hand and started running, having no idea what direction she was going, but they were right behind her.
Stop by next week and see how Karen and Missy get out of the building or do they?????
