A Writer's Life

This is my number one pet peeve on being self published.  There are people, website, and courses out there, that want your money. THINK BEFORE YOU SPEND! There are websites out there that will charge you for services that you can learn to do yourself.  If you don't want to learn these things that is fine, pay for it.  But if the reason that you are paying for services is because you don't t think you can, you are totally wrong. I have said this before and I am saying it again.  I knew nothing when I started in 2011,  I had a computer.  I had no idea how to send a file via e-mail. I had no idea what to do one I got the file back from the formatter.  How do I get it uploaded on Amazon.  I had no idea that I had more than one drive on the computer.  I downloaded a file and had no idea where it went. I have rewritten the opening scene about 8 times.  I finally found the opening scene and it made sense.  I now know that I can move forward.  I felt like I was stuck and was never going to be able to move forward. The point is that I didn't give up.  I kept rewriting till I found the scene.  I know that I am going to have to rewrite the book after the first draft is written.  So I am very excited.
