Published Another Book!

Buy Now It has been awhile since I published a book on Amazon. This is my 13th Book in the Series My Bible--My God Yes I am a Christian Writer.  Yes I have Written 2 Zombie Series Zombie Zoo & Me VsZombies My Books Here I have to tell you the truth, if you are a writer and write fiction, I am sure you can write a short non-fiction book.  The cool thing about writing short non-fiction, is that you can write it within a week or two.  Have it published within a month.  This book is 12,000 words. I used Kindle's Cover Converter for my Non-Fiction Books.  It is FREE. You can write a short story, write 15,000-30,000 words.  Write 5,000 words a day your story will be finished in week or so.  Edit it, create cover and publish.  Then you will have a book to promote while you are working on your longer book.  It is a good learning curve.  There are a lot of courses out there to tell you how to write & publish within a week or month, which is fine.  But Amazon has m

Why Do You Write?

Tell someone you are a writer or writing a book, the answer is usually the same, "I could write a book."  But they never do. So why do you write? 1.  Do you write a journal to help keep you sane? 2.  Do you write to sell millions of books? 3.  Do you write because you have a story to tell? 4.  Do you write because you think you can do better than what is being published today? 5.  Do you write because you have characters screaming in your head, for their story to be told? I write, because that is who I am.  I have to write.  In the past I have stopped writing.  I put everything up, pens, paper and notebooks.  Then I found myself scribbling on a paper towel or a receipt. I write because I know I have a good ideas.  I write because it keeps me sane and focus. I write because I want to sell millions of copies of my book.  I want to be in New York City at a book signing, where people are standing in line around the block to get my book.  (Just being honest) I w

Sickness Slowing Down Writing Process

I was doing pretty good, writing everyday, then sinus problems invaded my body.  I was basically bedridden for the past week.  I couldn't breathe, I couldn't sleep, because I couldn't breathe.  Then the headaches came, and then nausea came because of the headaches. The worst is over, but now I have to get back to writing.  It is hard to focus when my head is throbbing and can't breathe. Spring is here with all its glory and pollen. I hope you all are fairing better than me this spring. Keep On Writing

Rachel Aaron's Book Increase Your Word Count

I didn't Blog this past week.  I really have no real excuse, except that I was rewriting my my book.  I am making it more tighter, less characters and leaner.  It will be around 50,000 words. I have been getting up around 7:00 am and writing until 12:00pm  I then pat myself on the back and think that I did good.  I don't feel that I am getting that far on my book.  I am writing 2,000-3,000 words a day, but still feel that it should be done by now.  What am I doing wrong? I then start thinking about other stories I could write, I even plot them out or new ideas pop in my head, so I write that idea down.  I am on a tread mill going nowhere. Then this morning, I woke up with an entire novel plotted in my head.  Sometimes I think I am a bit crazy with all these thoughts and ideas in my head.  I can not possibly write all these stories I are swirling in my head or can I? I buy books on writing.  I have a lot of them over the years.  I went to writer's conference'

Editing

This past week I have been editing my Non-Fiction book.  I am still waiting for the edits from my editor.  I have been going through it, adding things, deleting things.  I am still not sure what the title is going to be.  I don't like any of the titles I came up with so far. I also have been going back  Amazon  and changing my key words and categories  for my non-fiction books.  It has been said that it should be done every 3-6 months.  Mine were long over due. So I don't really have a word count, I have been working on other things that are time consuming but needs to be done. It is the side of writing that I do not enjoy, but needs to be done.

A Discovery Of Witches By Deborah Harkness

I started out reading romance novels.  I read one a week.  I wrote my first romance novel  Always & Forever   I went to a writer's conference and pitched my idea to an editor and agent.  They wanted to see my book.  The agent said it was more of a Paranormal Romance Novel.  There were spirits in the book. I self published that book. Then I discovered Sherrilyn Kenyon  Books and knew I shifted from romance novels to the Paranormal.  I have been watching Discovery of Witches on AMC, and though I like the series so far, it has too many commercials.  I bought the book at t used book store, and just started reading A Discovery of Witches.  So far so good. I had no idea about these books.  So I am excited to delve into this new world of vampires and witches.  What are you reading? Who are your favorite authors?
