Dog Days Of Summer

I don't know where you live...where I live...It is now in100 Drgrees Mark.....Yesterday it ws 95......Hot....Humid.....Yet I still have to go out and take care of the chickens......So where does my writing fit in????? I come back from feeding and watering the chickens....I am hot, thristy and worn out.....The older I get.....the hot weather zapps my energy.........It is sometimes an effort to write........I know we all have our excuses not to write.....The weather seems like a good reason not to write....How is your writing coming along????????

Why Have a Hard Copy Of Your Writing?

I am old school....Technology and computers are changing and it is hard to keep up. .....Do you use your. omputer, smart phone or tablet for everything?????? I was talking to the cashier as I was checking out (yes they still use cashiers)....I was buying my calendars for next year and noteooks and pens.....She said that everything she does is in her phone....appointments....phone numbers......birthdates....etc....she was not young....I told her...I write all that on mycalendars.....appointments and birthdates.....She said....I need to do that.....my phone is messing up.. I don't understand all this technology.....What Are You Going To Do:When The Electrical Grid Collapses????? You will no longer be able to charge your phone etc???? Do you print out. copy of the pages you write everyday??????What if your computer dies and you lose your rough draft????? Something to think about.....TheBible says the earth will be scorched....Natural diasters....fires....tornado......accidents.....

Did You Know????Save Those Reciepts!!!!

Did you know that you claim your writing as a career???? Save all your reciepts. 1. Writting Supplies 2. WiFi 3. Computer or Virus protection 4. Writer's Conference 5. Travel Expense All these items can be deductions....But you need to save all you reciepts. 6. Find a good Tax Person...don't go for the cheapest....look for someone who will listen to you and know the tax law. and wants to help you I am not giving legal advice....but something to think about as we get closer to the end of the year and start of a new year. 7. You are A Writer.....Start acting like a writer..... 8.Save all. your reciepts....and never throw them away.....You might get audit...... 9. You are A Writer 10. If you don't act like a Writer....Why would anyone treat you like a Writer????

Are You Writing For Money And Fame?

I think we all write for money and fame. We write to be pulished, to be validated as a writer.....I don't know about you......but....My family, co-workers, friends don't care if I write or not.....they might if I start making money....I self-publish.....no one I know has bought a copy of my. book......No one cares id I sit in my room for hours writing. No One Cares! I WRITE because I Am A Writer!!!!!! that is who and what I am.......I would love to sell a million copies of my book....Have a million people reading my. blog.......I write because I am A WRITER!!!!!

Writing Update!

I have written 40 pages this month......I know I can do better.......Yesterday I didn't write annything....it was 8 at night,...I told myself Iwas going to write something.....anything before I went to bed.......I wrote 4 pages....Happy about that........Now is the time to stock uo on writing supplies.......Back to School....All the stores have school supplies out......I went to the Dollar Tree...Everything is $1.25....i stocked up on pen, notebooks, calendars.....Only $1.25 each. Dont forget Index cards for writng scenes and plotting....Now is the time to stock up.....IT IS SO MUCH FUN!!!!!

Writing Update!!!

Where does the time go......The year is half over and I am way behind in my goals for 2023.....That is okay.....As long as I am writing and thinking about my story and characters....I am moving forward.... dont look back.,,,,press toward your mark.......Phillipians 3:13-14. I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it, but one thing I do: Forgetting what s behind me and straining toward what is ahead....I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called Heavenward in Christ Jesus.... Never give up.......You are only here for a short while....Keep moving forward...... I went to the store and splurged on ink pens and notebooks....Makes me happy. I have new pens and notebooks.....I am pressing on to write the stories God placed on my heart......Keep writng.....write your stories before you leave your body and this world......Someone is waiting to read your story
