I'm A Writer & I Am A Hoarder

Last week I moved out into the country.  A brand new trailer.  I now have my own office.  I should be happy, excited and ready to write.  I am overwhelmed.

I have a lot of stuff.  The last place I lived, I lived for 15 years.  I wrote a lot in long hand.  I saved everything I wrote  in longhand and that I typed.  Magazines, newspapers and scribbled notes.  I saved them all.

I was unpacking and putting things in the closet that I wanted to keep.  The closet is filled.  I looked around and had no place to put any of the things I am currently working on.  I still have no room.

I am a Hoarder.

I am overwhelmed.

When I met my boyfriend fifteen years ago.  He helped me overcome my hoarding problem then.  I threw a lot of things away, but kept a lot and over the fifteen years, I have collected a more.

I want this time to be different.  I want a nice place to live.  A place to write, where I can find what I need.

Am I crazy or do other writer's save everything they write?

If you save everything you write, where do you keep it all?

My boyfriend is out burning my writing as I write this.

Leave a comment, let me know what you do with all the things that you collect for your writing, like research, future ideas and notes jotted down.

Write No Matter What

I woke up and felt like a truck hit me.  I still turned my computer on and started writing.  That is the only way the story is going to get written.  Do I feel like writing?  Nope.  Do if feel like Blogging?  Nope.  I write cause that is what I do.  So I poured me a soda and let the caffine take its effect.  I have to get ready for work in a bit, I blooged, I wrote a bit, so I am still going in the write direction. I write no matter what.  whether I feel like  it or not. Have a great day. http://sharonleejohnson.com/

Writing Everyday

I am in awe of people who can write everyday.  I have heard that for years.  Write Everyday, even if it is just one word, one sentence or 1,000 words. I believe it.  Writer's write.  It is that simple. There are people on Facebook, posting their word count.  I am in awe of those people. I try to write everyday, but it does not always work out that way for me. I guess what I am trying to say, it that don't feel bad if you don't write for one day.  You are still a writer. I know that this is NANO month and you are suppose to write everyday and at the end of the month, have written 50,000 words.  Which is awesome.  The way I am going, I am not going to make it.  I have no excuse but I have headaches everyday and I mean everyday.  Some days are better than others.  A lot of the headaches are sinus headaches.  I am not using this as an excuse.  I know that others have worse problems in their lives. So if you are a...
