The year is almost over.  2014 is upon us. I have 29 E-Books at www.amazon.com/author/sharonleejohnson   I will publish 2 short stories this month.  My goal is to have 50 E-books up at the end of the year.  That means that I have 20 short stories to write this year.  I have one finished that I will publish in about 2 weeks and another one at the end of January.  End of January will make 31 E-books.  When I am not writing I work a full time job to pay the bills.  I am on facebook and twitter.  So I have to full time jobs.  When I am not at the job that pays the  bills I am writing.  Everyday, no matter what. I recieved royality checks from: USA Canada Italy UK I am very excited to be selling in these countries.  I am expecting great things in the year 2014.  I am expecting to sell in other countries and get my books traslated into other languages. I had 4 days off for Christmas.  I wrote 5,000 words on the computer.  I wrote 2,000 words in long hand.  7.000 words total.  I thought that was good.  I even started a new Zombie Series. 2014 is my year to sell more books than I thought was possible. Holidays are over.  2014 will be here before you know it.  No more excuses. I had 4 days off.  I wrote 5,000 words. I wanted to write 10.000 words, but the Holidays got in the way.  That is okay.  I still wrote and I still sold books, so all is good. I have to go back to work, and then back to the writing schedule. I wrote episode #19 of Me VS Zombies.  I had the episode plotted out. I had #20 plotted out.  The Characters took the story into their own hands and the story is better.  Now I have to come up with 2 new titles.  #19 is written and is in editting mode.  So I have no idea where the story is going.  I think that happens to alot of writers, but this has never happened to me.  I believe the more I write the more my word count goes up.  When I started writing, I was lucky if I could write 500 words at a time.  Now I can sit down at the computer and write 2,000-5,000 words in one sitting.  The more...

Write Everyday.  Even if it is one sentence.  One Word.   Write everyday.  I have a calendar where I mark my word count.  Might be 2 words one day, might be 5,000 words.  I am writing everyday.  Yes you can count your todoy list as writing. Finding time to write: 1.Get up Early 2.Write on lunches and breaks. 3.  Write while waiting in doctor's office or denist office. 4.  Stay up later to write 5.  Get to work early and write in your car.  You can write 20-50 words at a time throughout the day.  It all adds up at the end of the day.  Don't beat yourself up, if you don't write one day.  The next day, try to write a few more words.  It all adds up. I write more on my 2 days off than I do on the days I work.  I think it even outs. 2 years ago, I wrote in longhand, every word.  I could not write on the computer.  I would just stare at the blank screen.  I would write 50-60 pages in longhand and then type it into the computer.  That was not fun.  I thought I had to do it this way. A year ago.  I started sitting at the computer and would type around 100 words into the computer.  That was all I could do, when I was not writing in longhand. I was trying to transition to writing on the computer instead of longhand.  I guess it is like anything else...It takes pratice.  Then one night.  I sat on the computer and wrote 1,000 words.  I then found myself writing 4,000 words at the computer.  I have mad the transition from longhand to the computer.  It took awhile.  I am more productive.  I now find that 1,000 words is no big deal at the computer. I still write longhand.  I am more creative when I write longhand.  When I am struck on ...
