No Excuses

Everyone has excuses on why they shouldn't do something.  Writing, there are always excuses not to write.  The last two days I had a headache and didn't feel good. I made a few notes but didn't write any pages.  I think that is a good reason to do nothing.  In reality, there are people out there pounding on the keyboard, even when they are sick.

In my world, no one cares if I write or not.  I don't have any cheerleaders cheering me on.  I sit alone at my keyboard  and it is up to me if I write or not.  It is up to me, if I edit my chapters.  It is up to me to finish the book.  No one is holding a gun to my head to make me write.  So there should be no excuses.

If I want the book written, I have to write it myself.  As someone says at work, "It is not going to get done by itself."

I think that is funny when they say that.

"It is not going to get done by itself."

So if you want to be a writer, you need to write.  There are no excuses.  No reasons not to write.

When you are not writing, someone else is.  When you are not editing, someone else is.  When you are not putting your book on line, someone else is.  So are you going to be the someone else who is?

I am.  I know there will always be excuses, just write when you can and do what you can and before you know it, your book will be online and you will be and indie writer.

Writing When Sick

I didn't feel good the last two days.  I slept a lot, but I was still thinking about my writing.  I did sit on the couch with my laptop and did some writing, though that I know that I need to do rewrite, but I did write.  Today I feel better and hopefully I will get more pages into the computer.  I started the rewrite of a novel that has been rejected 20 times and I will get it back on the market. So that I it.  I am going to start writing and get this done. What are you working on??? This is a new year.....New Beginning. Don't Be Scammed

This is my number one pet peeve on being self published.  There are people, website, and courses out there, that want your money. THINK BEFORE YOU SPEND! There are websites out there that will charge you for services that you can learn to do yourself.  If you don't want to learn these things that is fine, pay for it.  But if the reason that you are paying for services is because you don't t think you can, you are totally wrong. I have said this before and I am saying it again.  I knew nothing when I started in 2011,  I had a computer.  I had no idea how to send a file via e-mail. I had no idea what to do one I got the file back from the formatter.  How do I get it uploaded on Amazon.  I had no idea that I had more than one drive on the computer.  I downloaded a file and had no idea where it went. If you are thinking that you can not learn this.  I am proof you can learn if you set your mind to it and are willing to learn. Don't...
