Choosing a Tax Person

  1.  Make sure they will be there next year for you.  Don't pick a tax person one year and then another one next year.  You want to keep the same tax person over years.

2.    Don't just pick someone.  Find someone you can trust.  If they cost a bit more, that is okay.  This is not the place where cheap is always better.

3.  Make sure you can contact that person throughout the year.  You may have questions that need answering in July.

4.  Make sure they are on your side and want to do your taxes right.

5.  Make sure that your tax person will back you up if you are ever audited.  They will need to explain how and why he did what he did with your tax return.

I have had the same tax person for the past ten years.  I like going to him.  He knows me.  He knows that I am a writer.  I know that he wants the best return for me.  I can call him in July if I have a question.

Start saving those reciepts and if you don't have a tax person you like this year, start looking now for one next year.

Write No Matter What

I woke up and felt like a truck hit me.  I still turned my computer on and started writing.  That is the only way the story is going to get written.  Do I feel like writing?  Nope.  Do if feel like Blogging?  Nope.  I write cause that is what I do.  So I poured me a soda and let the caffine take its effect.  I have to get ready for work in a bit, I blooged, I wrote a bit, so I am still going in the write direction. I write no matter what.  whether I feel like  it or not. Have a great day. http://sharonleejohnson.com/

Writing Everyday

I am in awe of people who can write everyday.  I have heard that for years.  Write Everyday, even if it is just one word, one sentence or 1,000 words. I believe it.  Writer's write.  It is that simple. There are people on Facebook, posting their word count.  I am in awe of those people. I try to write everyday, but it does not always work out that way for me. I guess what I am trying to say, it that don't feel bad if you don't write for one day.  You are still a writer. I know that this is NANO month and you are suppose to write everyday and at the end of the month, have written 50,000 words.  Which is awesome.  The way I am going, I am not going to make it.  I have no excuse but I have headaches everyday and I mean everyday.  Some days are better than others.  A lot of the headaches are sinus headaches.  I am not using this as an excuse.  I know that others have worse problems in their lives. So if you are a...
