I have been on Facebook this past week, wasting my time mostly.  I am on several writing groups.  The two I like the most are 20Books50K and WMWC  Writing a Million Words.  In these two groups, everyone is trying to write and get published.  Very informative in seeing what other writers are doing,  

Then I scroll on the other other writing groups, they are good if you need support in your writing, but as I was scrolling on Facebook, when I should have been Blogging or Writing, I thought.

JUST WRITE THE BOOK

I admit that I have 5 rough drafts written.  One almost complete and could be published within a month.  Anyone can write.  In the Facebook Group to write a million words in a year, is great.  I am excited about that.  Just because I might write a million word in 2020, does not mean that I will have a book published.

Once the rough draft is finished, you still have to go and rewrite it, edit it and then publish.  

So I just want to say to all the would be writers out there.  If you want to write a book.  Write the Book, rewrite the book.  Edit the book .  Publish the book.  

It is not as hard as it sounds, if you put the time in.

So I need to stay off FaceBook and Just Write The Book.

I am going to try to increase my word count in 2020.  I started this month.

Dec 4th 2,700 Words

Dec. 5th 2,700 Words

Dec. 6th 2,700 Words

I did good on the 4th and 5th.  Yesterday, it took me longer to reach my word count.  I sat in front of the TV and wrote yesterday.

Today I will try to reach my word count.  

If you write 2,700 Words every day in 2020.  You will have written around 1 Million Words.

That is my goal.  I started this month so I will be writing and be in the mindset to write everyday.  Not going to be easy everyday, but I am going to give it a shot.

Yesterday I did not want to write at all, so of course I started another story.  Not sure where I am going with my writing, but I am writing everyday so far.  If you do not write, you will never get published.

The new thing is writing sprints.  Where you set a timer to see how many words you can write in a certain amount of time.  They do this on Facebook Writing Groups, so you can post how many words you wrote and see how many words other writers wrote.  

Whatever works for you to get you writing is always good.

So I am just saying:

Write Eveyyday

Just Write The Book

Writing When Sick

I didn't feel good the last two days.  I slept a lot, but I was still thinking about my writing.  I did sit on the couch with my laptop and did some writing, though that I know that I need to do rewrite, but I did write.  Today I feel better and hopefully I will get more pages into the computer.  I started the rewrite of a novel that has been rejected 20 times and I will get it back on the market. WRITER'S UPDATE: REWRITES

 SO FAR THIS MONH...I HAVE WRITTEN 65 PAGES.... NOW TODAY....I AM GOING TO WRITE THOSE 65 PAGES WHY? I DON'T LIKE THE HOW THE BOOK STARTS I HAVE REWRITTEN THE BEGINNING...LIKE AT LEAST 4 TIMES.....SO HERE GOES #5 THIS IS WHY MY BOOK IS NOT PROGRESSING I KNOW I SHOULD KEEPING WRITING TO THE END....AND NOT REWRITE... BUT EACH TIME I WRITE THE NEW BEGINNING...I THINK THIS IS THE ONE SO TODAY IS OCTOBER 10TH. STARTING REWRITE #5 WISH ME LUCK

Don't Be Scammed

This is my number one pet peeve on being self published.  There are people, website, and courses out there, that want your money. THINK BEFORE YOU SPEND! There are websites out there that will charge you for services that you can learn to do yourself.  If you don't want to learn these things that is fine, pay for it.  But if the reason that you are paying for services is because you don't t think you can, you are totally wrong. I have said this before and I am saying it again.  I knew nothing when I started in 2011,  I had a computer.  I had no idea how to send a file via e-mail. I had no idea what to do one I got the file back from the formatter.  How do I get it uploaded on Amazon.  I had no idea that I had more than one drive on the computer.  I downloaded a file and had no idea where it went. If you are thinking that you can not learn this.  I am proof you can learn if you set your mind to it and are willing to learn. Don't...
