Writing With A Migraine

Yesterday I had a terrible Migraine.  I just wanted to curl up in the chair and watch tv,  I did not want to read or write.

I knew that I had to write something, anything.  So I turned on the computer and wrote one sentence, then I was done.

I then went to watch some mindless tv.  I picked up my notebook and wrote 500 words in long hand.

I wrote with a migraine, so I wouldn't feel worse for not writing at all.

I haven't made my word count yet.  I am not including my blogs part of my word count.

So this is what I have written so far this month.

5/1/20  2,005

5/2/20  1,055

5/3/20  1,000

5/4/20  2,700

5/5/20  500

Total Word count to date:  7,260 Words this month so far.

I am going to take my lap top to the recliner and sit in front of the tv and write.

I write better when I have some noise.  I think tv is like company and not so lonely

My goal for today is to write 3,000 words and then I would break 10,000 in 6 days that would be amazing for me.

So if you just found my blog, I created a Challenge For The Month of May

To write every single day, write something, no matter what.  My main goal is 1,000 words a day, but like yesterday I just wrote 500, today I am shooting for 3,000 words,  Let's see if I can do this.

I am writing a new story and am not editing or rewriting, I am just letting my mind go and write where the characters take me.  It is surprising how well the story is so far.

Join me to write everyday this month.

Leave a comment or word count and lets write together.

Write No Matter What

I woke up and felt like a truck hit me.  I still turned my computer on and started writing.  That is the only way the story is going to get written.  Do I feel like writing?  Nope.  Do if feel like Blogging?  Nope.  I write cause that is what I do.  So I poured me a soda and let the caffine take its effect.  I have to get ready for work in a bit, I blooged, I wrote a bit, so I am still going in the write direction. I write no matter what.  whether I feel like  it or not. Have a great day. http://sharonleejohnson.com/

Work Ethic

What is your work ethic????  It might get that book written sooner. I admit that televison is my distraction from writing.  I can not write in the living room, where the telvision is staring at me.  I know it talks to me.  Maybe your distraction is something dirrerent.  The dishes calling you to wash them or those dust bunnies talkling to you.  Whatever it is we need to stop listening to them. I always plan on writing more than I do.  I came home from work yesterday, and had plans to write, then I ate and started flipping channels and then the time slipped by and I didn't write anything.  I think it all come down to one's work ethic.  Some have one and some don't. I think I am one of them that does not have a strong work ethic.  The fact that I want my book finished, is what motivates me.  I want to be a writer, so I write. http://iamwalkingwithgod.blogspot.com/

Writing When Sick

I didn't feel good the last two days.  I slept a lot, but I was still thinking about my writing.  I did sit on the couch with my laptop and did some writing, though that I know that I need to do rewrite, but I did write.  Today I feel better and hopefully I will get more pages into the computer.  I started the rewrite of a novel that has been rejected 20 times and I will get it back on the market. So that I it.  I am going to start writing and get this done. What are you working on??? This is a new year.....New Beginning.
