Writers Write

Published or unpublished, doesn't matter.  If you don't write, you are not a writer.  I read Scott Eagan's Blog every day.  http://www.scotteagen.blogspot.com/  He is running a contest this month.  What struck me was the fact that when he announced the contest, he already had  three entries that he posted.

People are out there writing, no matter what.  What are you doing?  I know that it is not easy and would be easier to eat a bag of chips and watch a movie, but if you have the desire to see your name in print, your book at the bookstore, you need to write.

So as I am writing this blog, someone is working on their book.  While I am clicking from website  to website, some one is sending out a query letter.

So this is just something to think about, when you don't want to write.

I am still getting up early to write.  This is what I want to do.

Are you writing?

Let me know.  We are in this together.

Write No Matter What

I woke up and felt like a truck hit me.  I still turned my computer on and started writing.  That is the only way the story is going to get written.  Do I feel like writing?  Nope.  Do if feel like Blogging?  Nope.  I write cause that is what I do.  So I poured me a soda and let the caffine take its effect.  I have to get ready for work in a bit, I blooged, I wrote a bit, so I am still going in the write direction. I write no matter what.  whether I feel like  it or not. Have a great day. http://sharonleejohnson.com/

Writing Everyday

I am in awe of people who can write everyday.  I have heard that for years.  Write Everyday, even if it is just one word, one sentence or 1,000 words. I believe it.  Writer's write.  It is that simple. There are people on Facebook, posting their word count.  I am in awe of those people. I try to write everyday, but it does not always work out that way for me. I guess what I am trying to say, it that don't feel bad if you don't write for one day.  You are still a writer. I know that this is NANO month and you are suppose to write everyday and at the end of the month, have written 50,000 words.  Which is awesome.  The way I am going, I am not going to make it.  I have no excuse but I have headaches everyday and I mean everyday.  Some days are better than others.  A lot of the headaches are sinus headaches.  I am not using this as an excuse.  I know that others have worse problems in their lives. So if you are a...
