I was wriring in longhand yesterday and my characters took another direction and stepped up. Made the story take a turn for the better. I never would of thought of that twist if I didn't let my characters do what they wanted to. So I am happy with the new twist and I think that it will make a better story.
Do you let your characters go in different directions or do you stick to your outline????
I have an outline but I am willing to change it if new ideas are better. I know how the story starts and how the story ends, but as I write I do try to be flexible, as long as I am still working to the end that I have already planned.
Write in longhand or on the computer it is your choice as long as you write.
