The Writer's Life

The Writer's Life is not all that glamous.  I just spent the last three hours laying in bed, rereading my story and making notes for the rewrite.  I don't know how glamous that is, but that is the only way I can clear my head and concentrate on my story.

I find it hard to do that sitting at my desk, cause my mind wanders on other things I need to do.  So reading in bed, works for me.  I am very comfy and I feel that whatever works to get it done.

Where do you read at??/  Let me know....

I also got an e-mail from writer's digest and Donald Maass wrote a new book called The Breakout Novelist.

He also wrote The Breakout Novel a few years ago.  It will be out Feb 28

If you want to preorder   go to http://www.writersdigest.com/

I learned a lot from his last book  The Breakout Novel so I am waiting for this book to come out.

Hope you all have survived the last snowstorm and just think that the groundhog didn't see it's shadow, so spring is on the way.  We can only hope.

Write No Matter What

I woke up and felt like a truck hit me.  I still turned my computer on and started writing.  That is the only way the story is going to get written.  Do I feel like writing?  Nope.  Do if feel like Blogging?  Nope.  I write cause that is what I do.  So I poured me a soda and let the caffine take its effect.  I have to get ready for work in a bit, I blooged, I wrote a bit, so I am still going in the write direction. I write no matter what.  whether I feel like  it or not. Have a great day. http://sharonleejohnson.com/

Writing Everyday

I am in awe of people who can write everyday.  I have heard that for years.  Write Everyday, even if it is just one word, one sentence or 1,000 words. I believe it.  Writer's write.  It is that simple. There are people on Facebook, posting their word count.  I am in awe of those people. I try to write everyday, but it does not always work out that way for me. I guess what I am trying to say, it that don't feel bad if you don't write for one day.  You are still a writer. I know that this is NANO month and you are suppose to write everyday and at the end of the month, have written 50,000 words.  Which is awesome.  The way I am going, I am not going to make it.  I have no excuse but I have headaches everyday and I mean everyday.  Some days are better than others.  A lot of the headaches are sinus headaches.  I am not using this as an excuse.  I know that others have worse problems in their lives. So if you are a...
