Do you do character charts?
I do. I need to keep a list of what they look like so all my characters don't all have blonde hair and that they are a bit different and later in the book their green eyes don't become brown eyes.
Names, I have a list also especially for minor characters so I don't change their name half way through the book. I do make lists and keep character charts on all my characters even if there is a dog in the story.
I don't want to have to go back and change a name or the color of their hair. Or in the beginning they like something and then at the end of the book they are scared of the samething they liked in the beginning.
So make lists and keep track of what your characters are doing.
