Plot Points

Do you outline??? Are you a plotter or a panster?????

I am a plotter.  I plot out my book.  I know how it is going to start and how it is going to end.  I know what the last scene is going to be.  I have direction so I can't go in the wrong direction.

I write out my plot points.  Plot points are the ones that change the direction of the story.  If you have a 20 chapter novel.

Chapter 5  Plot Point One

Chapter 10 Plot Point Two

Chapter 15 Plot Point Three

Chapter 18 or 10 Black Moment   (When the reader thinks there is no hope for the two of them to be together)

Chapter 20  Resolution   They resolve everything

I know all my plot points before I start writing.

Something to think about.

My Plot Points:

Chapter 5 Larry shows up

Chapter 10  Samantha learns that Doug is working for Larry

Chapter 15 Samantha learns about the bet

Black Moment  Samantha realizes that no one has no faith in her and she is embaressed and agrees to go back to the city

Resolution:  Doug meets Samantha at the church and makes things right

I know what direction I am going in my story.

Write No Matter What

I woke up and felt like a truck hit me.  I still turned my computer on and started writing.  That is the only way the story is going to get written.  Do I feel like writing?  Nope.  Do if feel like Blogging?  Nope.  I write cause that is what I do.  So I poured me a soda and let the caffine take its effect.  I have to get ready for work in a bit, I blooged, I wrote a bit, so I am still going in the write direction. I write no matter what.  whether I feel like  it or not. Have a great day. http://sharonleejohnson.com/

Writing Everyday

I am in awe of people who can write everyday.  I have heard that for years.  Write Everyday, even if it is just one word, one sentence or 1,000 words. I believe it.  Writer's write.  It is that simple. There are people on Facebook, posting their word count.  I am in awe of those people. I try to write everyday, but it does not always work out that way for me. I guess what I am trying to say, it that don't feel bad if you don't write for one day.  You are still a writer. I know that this is NANO month and you are suppose to write everyday and at the end of the month, have written 50,000 words.  Which is awesome.  The way I am going, I am not going to make it.  I have no excuse but I have headaches everyday and I mean everyday.  Some days are better than others.  A lot of the headaches are sinus headaches.  I am not using this as an excuse.  I know that others have worse problems in their lives. So if you are a...
