Think Before You Spend

I have attended writer's conferences and saw the nice bookmarks, flyers, pens, coffee mugs.  That is what I want.  I want the shiny flyers, the pens, the coffee mug.

Is is worth it????  I told you yesterday that I didn't go to the printer and decided to do it myself.  I went to work and was was releived that I made that decicision. 

I also went to http://www.vistaprint.com/.    They are always having specials.  business cards free just pay for shipping or free shipping....So when you look at their site don't get sucked into the other things they are trying to sell you.

I went to http://www.vistaprint.com/ and ordered 100 postcards  FREEE!!!!!  I uploaded the cover of my book and had the front and back printed in black and white and all I had to do was pay for shipping.  I skipped over all the other things they were trying to sell me, though I was tempted.  I spent $10.73.......for 100 postcards,,,,,,compare that to the $150.00 I was going to spend at the printer.  I also ordered business cards from them.

So think before you spend.  You don''t have to go into debt for promo material.  I do have a good printer and decided to use it.

Write No Matter What

I woke up and felt like a truck hit me.  I still turned my computer on and started writing.  That is the only way the story is going to get written.  Do I feel like writing?  Nope.  Do if feel like Blogging?  Nope.  I write cause that is what I do.  So I poured me a soda and let the caffine take its effect.  I have to get ready for work in a bit, I blooged, I wrote a bit, so I am still going in the write direction. Writing Everyday

I am in awe of people who can write everyday.  I have heard that for years.  Write Everyday, even if it is just one word, one sentence or 1,000 words. I believe it.  Writer's write.  It is that simple. There are people on Facebook, posting their word count.  I am in awe of those people. I try to write everyday, but it does not always work out that way for me. I guess what I am trying to say, it that don't feel bad if you don't write for one day.  You are still a writer. I know that this is NANO month and you are suppose to write everyday and at the end of the month, have written 50,000 words.  Which is awesome.  The way I am going, I am not going to make it.  I have no excuse but I have headaches everyday and I mean everyday.  Some days are better than others.  A lot of the headaches are sinus headaches.  I am not using this as an excuse.  I know that others have worse problems in their lives.
