Word Count

Do you worry about your word count?  Do you care how many words you write each day???

I haven't thought about it, till just now.  There are writers out there who are writing 10,000 words a day.  They are writing 5-10 hours a day.  While I am surfing the web or  channel surfing, there are writers out there getting the job down.

So this is what I decided to do.  I am going to keep a log of when I write, word count and how long I write.  I think this might make me more productive.  I have goals this year and I am not going to get those stories written if I am channel surfing, which I really like to do.

So I am starting tonight.  I will let you know how it works out.

How many words do you write a day????   OR  Do you even worry about word count.

I would like to write 5,000 words a day.  I need to get busy.

Write No Matter What

I woke up and felt like a truck hit me.  I still turned my computer on and started writing.  That is the only way the story is going to get written.  Do I feel like writing?  Nope.  Do if feel like Blogging?  Nope.  I write cause that is what I do.  So I poured me a soda and let the caffine take its effect.  I have to get ready for work in a bit, I blooged, I wrote a bit, so I am still going in the write direction. Writing Everyday

I am in awe of people who can write everyday.  I have heard that for years.  Write Everyday, even if it is just one word, one sentence or 1,000 words. I believe it.  Writer's write.  It is that simple. There are people on Facebook, posting their word count.  I am in awe of those people. I try to write everyday, but it does not always work out that way for me. I guess what I am trying to say, it that don't feel bad if you don't write for one day.  You are still a writer. I know that this is NANO month and you are suppose to write everyday and at the end of the month, have written 50,000 words.  Which is awesome.  The way I am going, I am not going to make it.  I have no excuse but I have headaches everyday and I mean everyday.  Some days are better than others.  A lot of the headaches are sinus headaches.  I am not using this as an excuse.  I know that others have worse problems in their lives.
