5 Things to Ask Yourself Before Co-Authoring a Book

I am co-writing a book with someone on the other side of the world.  Stephen Ormsby.  I jumped into this without much thought.  So far it is working.  We are more than half way through the first draft.  Somethings to consider before jumping into writing a book.

1.  Stay true to your Morals and Beliefs.  Make sure that the two of you are on the same page with the tone of the story,

2.  Determine a schedule.  Stephen and I do not have a schedule and that is working for us at the moment.  Do you want to work on the book everyday and neglect your other writing??

3.  Do you like the story line?  Is a series and are you willing to commit to a series???

4.  Is your family on board???  Are they willing to let you write guilt free, cause now you have someone to answer to , besides yourself

5.  Can you accept that your partner will rewrite your scene???

Write No Matter What

I woke up and felt like a truck hit me.  I still turned my computer on and started writing.  That is the only way the story is going to get written.  Do I feel like writing?  Nope.  Do if feel like Blogging?  Nope.  I write cause that is what I do.  So I poured me a soda and let the caffine take its effect.  I have to get ready for work in a bit, I blooged, I wrote a bit, so I am still going in the write direction. I write no matter what.  whether I feel like  it or not. Have a great day. http://sharonleejohnson.com/

Writing Everyday

I am in awe of people who can write everyday.  I have heard that for years.  Write Everyday, even if it is just one word, one sentence or 1,000 words. I believe it.  Writer's write.  It is that simple. There are people on Facebook, posting their word count.  I am in awe of those people. I try to write everyday, but it does not always work out that way for me. I guess what I am trying to say, it that don't feel bad if you don't write for one day.  You are still a writer. I know that this is NANO month and you are suppose to write everyday and at the end of the month, have written 50,000 words.  Which is awesome.  The way I am going, I am not going to make it.  I have no excuse but I have headaches everyday and I mean everyday.  Some days are better than others.  A lot of the headaches are sinus headaches.  I am not using this as an excuse.  I know that others have worse problems in their lives. So if you are a...
