Mock Cover

I recieved three mock covers to look at.  I am so excited.  I liked all three of them and decided on the one that I liked the best.

I think it is important to have the cover before you book is written, or have someone working on it while you are writing.  That way, you have a deadline.  You are excited about the cover and want to finish the story so you can post the cover. 

It is your cover.  Have it the way you want it.  If your story is finished and you don't have a cover, that will slow you down in publishing.  I had one of my Zombie stories without a cover.  I haven't sold that many copies and I feel that it is because of the cover.  Having a good cover is important.  So look around and find someone to do your cover before you book is finished.

I should have the manuscript back from the editor sometime this week.  By the end of the week I should have the cover and the manuscript from the Editor.

I have 9,000 words on the second story.  I just wrote 2,000 words. 

I will have the second story finished tomorrow.  The rough draft. 

Did I feel like writing today??  Not really.  I was tired and there was a movie on that I wanted to watch.  I choose to write instead of lying on the couch watching televison. 

You must decide how bad you want to get published.  You will always find excuses not to write.  You must  decide to write and see the finish line.

I will show you the cover, when I recieve it.

Writing When Sick

I didn't feel good the last two days.  I slept a lot, but I was still thinking about my writing.  I did sit on the couch with my laptop and did some writing, though that I know that I need to do rewrite, but I did write.  Today I feel better and hopefully I will get more pages into the computer.  I started the rewrite of a novel that has been rejected 20 times and I will get it back on the market. WRITER'S UPDATE: REWRITES

 SO FAR THIS MONH...I HAVE WRITTEN 65 PAGES.... NOW TODAY....I AM GOING TO WRITE THOSE 65 PAGES WHY? I DON'T LIKE THE HOW THE BOOK STARTS I HAVE REWRITTEN THE BEGINNING...LIKE AT LEAST 4 TIMES.....SO HERE GOES #5 THIS IS WHY MY BOOK IS NOT PROGRESSING I KNOW I SHOULD KEEPING WRITING TO THE END....AND NOT REWRITE... BUT EACH TIME I WRITE THE NEW BEGINNING...I THINK THIS IS THE ONE SO TODAY IS OCTOBER 10TH. STARTING REWRITE #5 WISH ME LUCK

Don't Be Scammed

This is my number one pet peeve on being self published.  There are people, website, and courses out there, that want your money. THINK BEFORE YOU SPEND! There are websites out there that will charge you for services that you can learn to do yourself.  If you don't want to learn these things that is fine, pay for it.  But if the reason that you are paying for services is because you don't t think you can, you are totally wrong. I have said this before and I am saying it again.  I knew nothing when I started in 2011,  I had a computer.  I had no idea how to send a file via e-mail. I had no idea what to do one I got the file back from the formatter.  How do I get it uploaded on Amazon.  I had no idea that I had more than one drive on the computer.  I downloaded a file and had no idea where it went.
