Marketing Your E-Book

Writing is easy.  Marketing is hard. Marketing is time consuming.

I am writing and publishing a short story every month.  Some months I publish two a month.  If I am not writing I am marketing.  I am on face book.  I am on twitter.  I blog. 

That may sound simple, but it zaps my writing time.

If you have a spouse or friend that could help you with the social media, you will be ahead of the game.  I do not have that.  I am totally on my own. 

I have a full time job.  I get up early to write or promote my books.  I do what I can do.

There is no secret formula on how to market your book.  If there was, then we all would be doing the same thing.

Be willing to take risks, but watch your money.  Don't go into debt by advertising.  Like publishing your book, it doesn't have to cost you anything.  Like marketing, don't pay anyone to help you, unless you are sure and can afford it.  There is always someone out there to take your money.

The best advice is to get the next book or short story out.  If you are writing a novel, can you write and publish a short story to keep your name out there???

Write No Matter What

I woke up and felt like a truck hit me.  I still turned my computer on and started writing.  That is the only way the story is going to get written.  Do I feel like writing?  Nope.  Do if feel like Blogging?  Nope.  I write cause that is what I do.  So I poured me a soda and let the caffine take its effect.  I have to get ready for work in a bit, I blooged, I wrote a bit, so I am still going in the write direction. Writing When Sick

I didn't feel good the last two days.  I slept a lot, but I was still thinking about my writing.  I did sit on the couch with my laptop and did some writing, though that I know that I need to do rewrite, but I did write.  Today I feel better and hopefully I will get more pages into the computer.  I started the rewrite of a novel that has been rejected 20 times and I will get it back on the market. So that I it.  I am going to start writing and get this done. What are you working on??? This is a new year.....New Beginning. WRITER'S UPDATE: PAGE COUNT

 DOG DAYS OF SUMMER ARE HERE LAST NIGHT WHEN I PUT UP THE CHICKENS...IT WAS 89 DEGREES OUT...AT 8PM.... YESTERDAY I WROTE 15 PAGES I GUESS THAT IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I GET UP AT 5AM SO AS OF JULY 8, 2025... I HAVE WRITTEN 52 PAGES THIS MONTH I HAVE A MAMA HEN LAYING ON EGGS....MIGHT HAVE SOME CHICKS IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS KEEP WRITING...ONE WORD AT A TIME...
