I spent the last week with no phone, no internet, no computer. I survived. Could you?
I needed a break.
This past year I have published one or more short story every month. I was drained. I am 2 E-Books from having 50 E-books on Amazon. www.amazon.com/author/sharonleejohnson That is my goal this year. To have 50 E-books published on Amazon. I am close, then my I started getting distracted. I have like 5 books started. I couldn't focus on one single story. So what did I do?
I spent most of my time on facebook and twitter. I wrote a little, but my word count was down and I was not getting anywhere. I checked my sales all the time. I felt like I was on a treadmill and going nowhere.
The week is over and I didn't miss anything. I am more focused and I know what I need to do. I made the goals for next year. I am more focused and ready to write.
I just hit the publish button for Episode 32 of Me VS Zombies.
I have the next Episode started.
I am working on a Non- Fiction book.
I haven't checked my book sales this month. I decided not to check my sales till the end of the month. I am going to write whether I sell books or not.
I need to focus on my writing and not how many books I sold today.
I feel that writing is what I do. My word count us up and I only have 2 more E-Books to reach my goal. I know I can make my goal for the year.
I am looking forward to next year. I know next year will be more productive. I know that I can unplug anytime and survive.
