Writing Goals for New Year

This year I decided to have 50 E-Books published on Amazon by December 2014.

As of October of 2014 I have 48 E-books on Amazon. www.amazon.com/author/sharonleejohnson

I concentrated all year on writing and publishing an E-Book every month.  I have 2 E-Books to go and I know that is within reach.

This year has been a learning process.  I learned that I can write and publish quickly if I want to.  I learned how to be focus and determined to reach my goals and deadlines, even though I have no one to answer to except me.

2015 is around the corner.  I have new goals.  I won't be witing and publishing every month.  I want to write longer stories.  I now can sit at the computer longer.  When I started I could only write 100 words at a time.  Now I can sit and write 3,000 words in one sitting.

I started out as a Paranormal Romance Writer.  I then switched to Zombie Writer with my Series Me VS Zombies.

2015 I am going to go back to Paranormal Romance Writer.  I have 4 book ideas I want to write.  I have purchased the Book Covers and in my mind the stories are written.  I just need to get them on paper. 

Although Zombies are in the stories, but also there will be spirits and ghosts along the way. 

Romancing the Zombie Apocalypse  Is my new Brand.  I am no longer the 99 Cent Zombie Writer.

I changed the Brand to extend into other aspects of Romance and the Paranormal and keeping Zombies.

I am thinking outside of the box.

Writing When Sick

I didn't feel good the last two days.  I slept a lot, but I was still thinking about my writing.  I did sit on the couch with my laptop and did some writing, though that I know that I need to do rewrite, but I did write.  Today I feel better and hopefully I will get more pages into the computer.  I started the rewrite of a novel that has been rejected 20 times and I will get it back on the market. WRITER'S UPDATE: REWRITES

 SO FAR THIS MONH...I HAVE WRITTEN 65 PAGES.... NOW TODAY....I AM GOING TO WRITE THOSE 65 PAGES WHY? I DON'T LIKE THE HOW THE BOOK STARTS I HAVE REWRITTEN THE BEGINNING...LIKE AT LEAST 4 TIMES.....SO HERE GOES #5 THIS IS WHY MY BOOK IS NOT PROGRESSING I KNOW I SHOULD KEEPING WRITING TO THE END....AND NOT REWRITE... BUT EACH TIME I WRITE THE NEW BEGINNING...I THINK THIS IS THE ONE SO TODAY IS OCTOBER 10TH. STARTING REWRITE #5 WISH ME LUCK

Don't Be Scammed

This is my number one pet peeve on being self published.  There are people, website, and courses out there, that want your money. THINK BEFORE YOU SPEND! There are websites out there that will charge you for services that you can learn to do yourself.  If you don't want to learn these things that is fine, pay for it.  But if the reason that you are paying for services is because you don't t think you can, you are totally wrong. I have said this before and I am saying it again.  I knew nothing when I started in 2011,  I had a computer.  I had no idea how to send a file via e-mail. I had no idea what to do one I got the file back from the formatter.  How do I get it uploaded on Amazon.  I had no idea that I had more than one drive on the computer.  I downloaded a file and had no idea where it went. If you are thinking that you can not learn this.  I am proof you can learn if you set your mind to it and are willing to learn. Don't...
