Having Doubts About NANO

We all have doubts.  Sometimes I think that I have a split personality.  One day I write 5,000 words and the next day I write nothing.  I am a writer and then I sit in front of the tv and watch American Pickers for 12 hours and eat a bag of chips/  What is wrong with me?

I am sure that I am not alone here.  

I am sure everyone has doubts.  Since writing is a profession that non-writers don't understand, we are basically on our own.  

In my world, I have no one to talk to about my writing.  No one really cares.  Sure they will care when I sell millions of copies of books, have a book tour and sell the movie rights,  When the money starts flowing, people will care.

For now, it is just me, my characters, and the vision I have.  

I blog so others will know that they are not alone.  I write-edit-publish my own books.  I write because I have to.  I am a writer.  I can not, not write.  So I write.

I have never done NANO.  

So this year.  I am.

I have an idea for a book.  The 4th book in the Series I am working on.  

50,000 words might seem like a like to write in one month.

1,657 words a day, it breaks down to. 

I know this is doable.  All I have to do is write 1,657 words a day.  I am going to round up the word count to 2,000 a day.  2,000 words a day X 30= 60,000 words 

So if I write 2,000 words a day, I won't have to stress if a miss a day here and there.  I plan on writing everyday the month of November.  

I think if I do this, it will kick me back into writing mode for next year.  Then I will have 3 books that are rough drafts of my series and I can start the edits on them and to the Rapid Release Publishing thing.

Writing When Sick

I didn't feel good the last two days.  I slept a lot, but I was still thinking about my writing.  I did sit on the couch with my laptop and did some writing, though that I know that I need to do rewrite, but I did write.  Today I feel better and hopefully I will get more pages into the computer.  I started the rewrite of a novel that has been rejected 20 times and I will get it back on the market. WRITER'S UPDATE: REWRITES

 SO FAR THIS MONH...I HAVE WRITTEN 65 PAGES.... NOW TODAY....I AM GOING TO WRITE THOSE 65 PAGES WHY? I DON'T LIKE THE HOW THE BOOK STARTS I HAVE REWRITTEN THE BEGINNING...LIKE AT LEAST 4 TIMES.....SO HERE GOES #5 THIS IS WHY MY BOOK IS NOT PROGRESSING I KNOW I SHOULD KEEPING WRITING TO THE END....AND NOT REWRITE... BUT EACH TIME I WRITE THE NEW BEGINNING...I THINK THIS IS THE ONE SO TODAY IS OCTOBER 10TH. STARTING REWRITE #5 WISH ME LUCK

Don't Be Scammed

This is my number one pet peeve on being self published.  There are people, website, and courses out there, that want your money. THINK BEFORE YOU SPEND! There are websites out there that will charge you for services that you can learn to do yourself.  If you don't want to learn these things that is fine, pay for it.  But if the reason that you are paying for services is because you don't t think you can, you are totally wrong. I have said this before and I am saying it again.  I knew nothing when I started in 2011,  I had a computer.  I had no idea how to send a file via e-mail. I had no idea what to do one I got the file back from the formatter.  How do I get it uploaded on Amazon.  I had no idea that I had more than one drive on the computer.  I downloaded a file and had no idea where it went.
