Writing Time

Writing can be exhausting.  I was sitting at the computer for about 5 hours yesterday.  That might not seem long to some, but my back hurt, shoulders ached.

I blogged twice

I wrote 2,000 words

Today I wrote 2,000 words first thing

Then I blogged.

I timed myself as I wrote the 2,000 words.  It took me 1 1/2 hours to write 2,000 words.  I have to admit that I was not as fast as I was yesterday.  I had to force myself to sit at the desk and make my goal.

I find it weird that some days I can write, write and write and others it is  a chore to even write a word.

I do have the rough draft of the series that I am writing done.  It is a very rough draft but the scenes are there and and I have a beginning, a middle and an end.

So I have book 1 rough draft done.

I have book 2 rough draft done.

In November I will start the NANO and attempt to have Book 3 rough draft done.

Book 4 in the series, I have sort of started outlining that book.  I have the first scene and that is a start.

The reason I want to write all 4 books of this series before publishing them, is so that they all flow together.

I don't want to publish Book 1 and find out in Book 3 I should of included something in Book 1

I want all the Character's Arc's to flow throughout the series.

So I have written 2,000 words for the past three days.  So far so good.

How is your writing coming?  Are you writing everyday?  That is the key, so I am told.

Write On!

Write No Matter What

I woke up and felt like a truck hit me.  I still turned my computer on and started writing.  That is the only way the story is going to get written.  Do I feel like writing?  Nope.  Do if feel like Blogging?  Nope.  I write cause that is what I do.  So I poured me a soda and let the caffine take its effect.  I have to get ready for work in a bit, I blooged, I wrote a bit, so I am still going in the write direction. I write no matter what.  whether I feel like  it or not. Have a great day. http://sharonleejohnson.com/

Writing Everyday

I am in awe of people who can write everyday.  I have heard that for years.  Write Everyday, even if it is just one word, one sentence or 1,000 words. I believe it.  Writer's write.  It is that simple. There are people on Facebook, posting their word count.  I am in awe of those people. I try to write everyday, but it does not always work out that way for me. I guess what I am trying to say, it that don't feel bad if you don't write for one day.  You are still a writer. I know that this is NANO month and you are suppose to write everyday and at the end of the month, have written 50,000 words.  Which is awesome.  The way I am going, I am not going to make it.  I have no excuse but I have headaches everyday and I mean everyday.  Some days are better than others.  A lot of the headaches are sinus headaches.  I am not using this as an excuse.  I know that others have worse problems in their lives. So if you are a...
