Putting Writing First

I need to write when I get up.  I am more focused and productive.  My husband, also likes to get up and run errands and do things early in the morning.

I am sitting in bed, with my Pepsi and I read the Bible, and am blogging.  He was going to town.  I did not go with him, because I know what I want to get done with my writing.  If I went with him, I probably wouldn't get any writing done, because one errand leads to another errand.  So he went with by himself.

Does that make me a bad person?

Before I quit my "Real Job" no one expected me to drop what I was doing, and go to town.  I had a legit reason for not going everywhere.  I had to work.

Now, I work from home, and I am suppose to drop everything and run errands, feed the chickens etc.

So what do you think?

Do you put your writing first????

Does your writing suffer if you do put everything and everyone first????

They say, treat writing like a job.  If you do, then people are going to be mad.

What do you do.

So I didn't go to town.  I need to focus and editing my story, so I can send it off to the editor which I think is more important than going to town.

Leave a comment and let me know what you think.

Write No Matter What

I woke up and felt like a truck hit me.  I still turned my computer on and started writing.  That is the only way the story is going to get written.  Do I feel like writing?  Nope.  Do if feel like Blogging?  Nope.  I write cause that is what I do.  So I poured me a soda and let the caffine take its effect.  I have to get ready for work in a bit, I blooged, I wrote a bit, so I am still going in the write direction. I write no matter what.  whether I feel like  it or not. Have a great day. http://sharonleejohnson.com/

Writing Everyday

I am in awe of people who can write everyday.  I have heard that for years.  Write Everyday, even if it is just one word, one sentence or 1,000 words. I believe it.  Writer's write.  It is that simple. There are people on Facebook, posting their word count.  I am in awe of those people. I try to write everyday, but it does not always work out that way for me. I guess what I am trying to say, it that don't feel bad if you don't write for one day.  You are still a writer. I know that this is NANO month and you are suppose to write everyday and at the end of the month, have written 50,000 words.  Which is awesome.  The way I am going, I am not going to make it.  I have no excuse but I have headaches everyday and I mean everyday.  Some days are better than others.  A lot of the headaches are sinus headaches.  I am not using this as an excuse.  I know that others have worse problems in their lives. So if you are a...
