Publicity Pictures, How to Choose

I got up at 8:00am, it is now noon and I am still writing.  I have an office, but for some reason I am in my bedroom, writing on my lap top in bed.  I have The Monkees in my CD player.

As you know I have written Zombie Stories, but I am also a Christian and GOD has told me to write about my walk with Him, hence my other Blog

This morning I have been working on a non-fiction Christian book.  A Daily Devotion.

The Series I am working on that is Fiction is living in the last days, before the Rapture.

Also I need to update all the past books that I have published on Amazon

I have a lot to do.

I write best right when I wake up.  I wake up and grab a pepsi and turn on the computer, once I start doing something else, I get out of the mood.  So writing for me is best when I wake up.  I usually lay in bed, thinking what I am going to work on when I get up, then there is no doubt what I am going to do when I wake up.

I also have books, magazines and handwritten pages on the floor.  I need to organize and get things off the floor.

In my mind I am organized, but looking at my office and bedroom, others will differ.  I am not a neat freak and never will be.  So I don't even try.

It does not matter what your writing process is, as long as it works for you.

I do need to come up with a good bio for all of my books, including a picture of me
This is the day I was Baptized in Cotter Springs.  I am told to use an up close picture of myself, that is more  professional.  But I don't always go my the rules.  This is the picture I will use on my Christian Books

This is the picture I used for my Zombie books.  This is me in the back room of the bakery where I worked.

This is my favorite picture of me and my baby, Roxie, who loved me more than anyone.
So You could go with a more traditional head shot and that is what most writers do, but for me, being self-published I am going with the picture I want.

Write No Matter What

I woke up and felt like a truck hit me.  I still turned my computer on and started writing.  That is the only way the story is going to get written.  Do I feel like writing?  Nope.  Do if feel like Blogging?  Nope.  I write cause that is what I do.  So I poured me a soda and let the caffine take its effect.  I have to get ready for work in a bit, I blooged, I wrote a bit, so I am still going in the write direction. I write no matter what.  whether I feel like  it or not. Have a great day. http://sharonleejohnson.com/

Work Ethic

What is your work ethic????  It might get that book written sooner. I admit that televison is my distraction from writing.  I can not write in the living room, where the telvision is staring at me.  I know it talks to me.  Maybe your distraction is something dirrerent.  The dishes calling you to wash them or those dust bunnies talkling to you.  Whatever it is we need to stop listening to them. I always plan on writing more than I do.  I came home from work yesterday, and had plans to write, then I ate and started flipping channels and then the time slipped by and I didn't write anything.  I think it all come down to one's work ethic.  Some have one and some don't. I think I am one of them that does not have a strong work ethic.  The fact that I want my book finished, is what motivates me.  I want to be a writer, so I write. http://iamwalkingwithgod.blogspot.com/

Writing When Sick

I didn't feel good the last two days.  I slept a lot, but I was still thinking about my writing.  I did sit on the couch with my laptop and did some writing, though that I know that I need to do rewrite, but I did write.  Today I feel better and hopefully I will get more pages into the computer.  I started the rewrite of a novel that has been rejected 20 times and I will get it back on the market. So that I it.  I am going to start writing and get this done. What are you working on??? This is a new year.....New Beginning. Let us follow our dream together check out my other blog: http://iamwalkingwithgod.blogspot.com/ Write Something Today
