Organized Writers

Are you organized as a writer?

Is your desk clean?  Books on the book case?

I am here to proclaim, I am organized in my own way.  I have books, legal pads and magazines on the floor, but I do know where everything is.  It might look like a mess to others, but to me it is an organized mess.

I cannot have a perfect desk and everything in their proper place.

In my office, I have to step over things to get in the office.

I have chicken feed, water container for the chickens, basket of the eggs in the entrance of my office.  That is fine with me.   It is all right by the door.  I have what I need when I go and check the chickens and I have no problem stepping over things to get in my office.

I also write in my bedroom.  I have my pillows propped up and sit back with my laptop on my legs and I write.

Needless to say that I have books, magazines and legal pads on the floor.

I went into my office this morning, and found a couple things I needed and thought

"Great, more things to have lying on the floor in the bedroom.

That is okay.  I can live with my organized mess.  I am a writer and what works for me might not work for you.

As long as I am writing.  I don't care what the house looks like.  I will not apologize.

Are you an organized writer?

Or

Are you an organized mess writer?

Whatever you are embrace who you are.

You are a writer.

Write No Matter What

I woke up and felt like a truck hit me.  I still turned my computer on and started writing.  That is the only way the story is going to get written.  Do I feel like writing?  Nope.  Do if feel like Blogging?  Nope.  I write cause that is what I do.  So I poured me a soda and let the caffine take its effect.  I have to get ready for work in a bit, I blooged, I wrote a bit, so I am still going in the write direction. I write no matter what.  whether I feel like  it or not. Have a great day. http://sharonleejohnson.com/

Work Ethic

What is your work ethic????  It might get that book written sooner. I admit that televison is my distraction from writing.  I can not write in the living room, where the telvision is staring at me.  I know it talks to me.  Maybe your distraction is something dirrerent.  The dishes calling you to wash them or those dust bunnies talkling to you.  Whatever it is we need to stop listening to them. I always plan on writing more than I do.  I came home from work yesterday, and had plans to write, then I ate and started flipping channels and then the time slipped by and I didn't write anything.  I think it all come down to one's work ethic.  Some have one and some don't. I think I am one of them that does not have a strong work ethic.  The fact that I want my book finished, is what motivates me.  I want to be a writer, so I write. http://iamwalkingwithgod.blogspot.com/

Writing When Sick

I didn't feel good the last two days.  I slept a lot, but I was still thinking about my writing.  I did sit on the couch with my laptop and did some writing, though that I know that I need to do rewrite, but I did write.  Today I feel better and hopefully I will get more pages into the computer.  I started the rewrite of a novel that has been rejected 20 times and I will get it back on the market. So that I it.  I am going to start writing and get this done. What are you working on??? This is a new year.....New Beginning.
