Being a Beta Reader.

This is new for me.  I have never been a beta reader before, and honestly, I am shocked and surprised that a someone I don't know would trust my opinion.  I take this very sersioulsy and am honored to be asked.

I have just spent the last four hours reading her book, on the computer.  Something that I have never done before.  I thought it would be hard reading it on the computer,,but to my surprise it was just like reading a book....Learn something new everyyday. 

I made notes as I wrote, jotted down the page numbers so she would know what I was talking about.  I need to organize my thoughts and e-mail to her. 

She has entered this in the Golden Heart Contest given by Romance Writers of America.  I do wish her the best, cause the story kept my attention and I was looking forward to the seeing how it ended.

A Beta reader is one who reads the book first and gives the writer their opinion of the story, least that is what I am doing.

Write No Matter What

I woke up and felt like a truck hit me.  I still turned my computer on and started writing.  That is the only way the story is going to get written.  Do I feel like writing?  Nope.  Do if feel like Blogging?  Nope.  I write cause that is what I do.  So I poured me a soda and let the caffine take its effect.  I have to get ready for work in a bit, I blooged, I wrote a bit, so I am still going in the write direction. Writing Everyday

I am in awe of people who can write everyday.  I have heard that for years.  Write Everyday, even if it is just one word, one sentence or 1,000 words. I believe it.  Writer's write.  It is that simple. There are people on Facebook, posting their word count.  I am in awe of those people. I try to write everyday, but it does not always work out that way for me. I guess what I am trying to say, it that don't feel bad if you don't write for one day.  You are still a writer. I know that this is NANO month and you are suppose to write everyday and at the end of the month, have written 50,000 words.  Which is awesome.  The way I am going, I am not going to make it.  I have no excuse but I have headaches everyday and I mean everyday.  Some days are better than others.  A lot of the headaches are sinus headaches.  I am not using this as an excuse.  I know that others have worse problems in their lives.
