My Laptop Floating In Water

How careful are you with your computer and hard copies of your writing?

Last year when my hot water heater exploded while I was at work, my lap top was on the floor.  Why was it on the floor?  I have no idea.  It was ruined and was not covered with my insurance.  So this is a lesson that I want to share with you all.

Keep your computer where it is safe, from floods or where someone can spill something on it.  I also print out a hardcopy of everything I write.  Yes I have a lot of paper stacking up but if my computer acts up I know that I have a copy.

Maybe I am to careful, but the thought of losing my computer again is not a good thing.

Do you drink or eat in front of the computer?  Might want to think about that before you spill your coffee or drink on the keyboards.

All I am saying is that you might want to be more careful around your computer or learn the hard way.

Something to think about.  Do you have any stories of what happened to your computer?  Leave a comment and let me know your stories.

Write No Matter What

I woke up and felt like a truck hit me.  I still turned my computer on and started writing.  That is the only way the story is going to get written.  Do I feel like writing?  Nope.  Do if feel like Blogging?  Nope.  I write cause that is what I do.  So I poured me a soda and let the caffine take its effect.  I have to get ready for work in a bit, I blooged, I wrote a bit, so I am still going in the write direction. I write no matter what.  whether I feel like  it or not. Have a great day. http://sharonleejohnson.com/

Writing Everyday

I am in awe of people who can write everyday.  I have heard that for years.  Write Everyday, even if it is just one word, one sentence or 1,000 words. I believe it.  Writer's write.  It is that simple. There are people on Facebook, posting their word count.  I am in awe of those people. I try to write everyday, but it does not always work out that way for me. I guess what I am trying to say, it that don't feel bad if you don't write for one day.  You are still a writer. I know that this is NANO month and you are suppose to write everyday and at the end of the month, have written 50,000 words.  Which is awesome.  The way I am going, I am not going to make it.  I have no excuse but I have headaches everyday and I mean everyday.  Some days are better than others.  A lot of the headaches are sinus headaches.  I am not using this as an excuse.  I know that others have worse problems in their lives. So if you are a...
