It's The Journey Not The Destination

You have heard it before, it is the journey not the destination.

That is probably true.

I have an idea for a big book.  500 page book.  4 Characters viewpoint in each chapter..  That means that I will have 4 major character Arks.  That means that I will have 4 main characters in every chapter.

It is a Road trip book with a map, a goal and destination.  Every character will have a different goal.

Why do I want to write this book.  Because it is in my head.  I want this book out of my head.

So I have took a step yesterday on this journey.

Yesterday I wrote 2,168 words

Goal is to write 125,000 words

Deadline December 31,2020

Words left to write, 116,235

I will be blogging on my progress on my word count.

I know in another post I said that I was not going to keep track on word count.  I can write 1,000-3,000 words a day and they might just be starting a new story or working on a story, but not being focused on one book.

This word count is for one book.  I want to write everyday at least 2,000 words or more.

Do you want to write a first draft of a book?  Join me on this journey.  It is the end of the year.  What better way to start the new year, by having a rough draft to rewrite, rework and edit and publish.

Write No Matter What

I woke up and felt like a truck hit me.  I still turned my computer on and started writing.  That is the only way the story is going to get written.  Do I feel like writing?  Nope.  Do if feel like Blogging?  Nope.  I write cause that is what I do.  So I poured me a soda and let the caffine take its effect.  I have to get ready for work in a bit, I blooged, I wrote a bit, so I am still going in the write direction. I write no matter what.  whether I feel like  it or not. Have a great day. http://sharonleejohnson.com/

Writing Everyday

I am in awe of people who can write everyday.  I have heard that for years.  Write Everyday, even if it is just one word, one sentence or 1,000 words. I believe it.  Writer's write.  It is that simple. There are people on Facebook, posting their word count.  I am in awe of those people. I try to write everyday, but it does not always work out that way for me. I guess what I am trying to say, it that don't feel bad if you don't write for one day.  You are still a writer. I know that this is NANO month and you are suppose to write everyday and at the end of the month, have written 50,000 words.  Which is awesome.  The way I am going, I am not going to make it.  I have no excuse but I have headaches everyday and I mean everyday.  Some days are better than others.  A lot of the headaches are sinus headaches.  I am not using this as an excuse.  I know that others have worse problems in their lives. So if you are a...
