Writing A 4 Book Series

 10/20/20

Writes Wrote Today:  4,787

Goal:  125,000

Deadline: December 31, 2020

Words Left To Write:  87,933

I have a 5 Book I want to write.  It has been in my head for over a year, but now I have to get it the story on paper and get it published.  The Characters are screaming at me.  I have no choice but to write their story.

Each Book will be a Stand Alone Book, but there will a connection mentioned that ties all 4 books together.  I have a general idea of what each book is.  Plots, Characters and Conflict.

So Book 1 I had a rough draft half finished. Then I wanted to write the last book so I would know how it would all end and then I could go back to the other books and add things that make all the books connect.

So I decided  to write 125,000 and write the last book, and then go back to the first book.  Are you confused yet???  I am. I have characters screaming in my head.

So I stopped working on the last book, because I am having problems with plot problems.  So I went back to the first book and close to finishing the rough draft.  Then I will work on the 2nd book.

Writing a book is not easy.  People who do not write, always says, "I can write a book."  They never do.

I have this 4 Book Series and I can't publish book one, if I am not sure what is going in Book 4 because once Book 1 is published, I can not go and change a major plot point or a character.

So if I have a rough draft of all 4 books, then I will have the skeleton of each book.  All 4 Books will connect and then I can start on my rewrites next year and publish them.

Not sure if any of this makes sense.  Everyone writes different.  What works for one writer, will not work for another writer.  So you just need to write.  As you can see, the more I am writing the more my word count is increasing.

I know what I want to write.  I know that I want to Publish all 4 books next year.  So I have to write.  Yes I did miss days of writing due to headaches but that is life, not an excuse.  I am just writing more now that my headache is gone.  I get them like twice a month.  I just deal with them.

So keep on writing.  Leave a comment and let me know what you are writing on.

Write No Matter What

I woke up and felt like a truck hit me.  I still turned my computer on and started writing.  That is the only way the story is going to get written.  Do I feel like writing?  Nope.  Do if feel like Blogging?  Nope.  I write cause that is what I do.  So I poured me a soda and let the caffine take its effect.  I have to get ready for work in a bit, I blooged, I wrote a bit, so I am still going in the write direction. I write no matter what.  whether I feel like  it or not. Have a great day. http://sharonleejohnson.com/

Instead, I write.  I might not write 2,000 words everyday.  What I do everyday is, I write.  I write and it might only be 100 words, but I wrote something. I blog and I consider that writing.  I have people come to my blog everyday.  People are reading what I write, like you are reading what I have written, therefore I am a writer.   I know that it is lonely sometimes and you wonder why bother.  I write to live.  I can not write. You can be a self-published writer in less than a mont...
