Writer's Update

This was taped on my wall when I was writing my Zombie Series  My goal back in 2015 was to have published 50 E-Books by the end of 2015.  They were short Zombie Stories and a few Non-Fiction books.  I made my goal.

Flash forward to 2020 5 years later.  What happened to me?  I was writing, editting and publishing a short story every month, sometimes two short stories.  There was nothing going to stop me.

Now I have or 70 E-Books and Print Books on Amazon.

Now I want to write longer books.  Books with more depth and substance.

When I was writing a short story every month.  I worked nights, slept during the day.  I did not change my sleep habits when I had days off.  So on my nights off, I still slept during the day and got up around 9:00PM and was up the entire night and went back to bed in the morning around 10:00AM

I wrote all night long, sometimes for 12 hours.  On the computer writing, editing or publishing.  While I was at work, I could write a short story in long hand and type it out when I got home.  Nothing was going to get in my way.

So five years later, I quit my job.  I am not collecting Social Security.  I had saved some money and decided to quit my job and write.

I have all day to write.  Do I write all day?  No.  Do I write everyday?  I am trying.

Sometimes people are more poductive when they are busy.  I am living proof of that.

I have a lot of ideas in my head.  Books plotted out.  I just have to write them.

That is why I made a goal of 125,000 Words by December 3, 2020

I haven't written much in thelast three days.

Yesterday I wrote about 1,000 words.

So today I have to write, more than 1,000 words if I want to reach my goal.

We all have time to write.  The fact is we must choose to write, whenever, wherever and whatever life throws at us.

Anyone can write

Only a writer can write a book.

So I am going to write this morning.

I am so glad that other countries have found my blog and following me on this writing path.

Leave a comment and let me know what you are writing.  Follow my blog.

Thank you

Write On!

Write No Matter What

I woke up and felt like a truck hit me.  I still turned my computer on and started writing.  That is the only way the story is going to get written.  Do I feel like writing?  Nope.  Do if feel like Blogging?  Nope.  I write cause that is what I do.  So I poured me a soda and let the caffine take its effect.  I have to get ready for work in a bit, I blooged, I wrote a bit, so I am still going in the write direction. I write no matter what.  whether I feel like  it or not. Have a great day. http://sharonleejohnson.com/

Instead, I write.  I might not write 2,000 words everyday.  What I do everyday is, I write.  I write and it might only be 100 words, but I wrote something. I blog and I consider that writing.  I have people come to my blog everyday.  People are reading what I write, like you are reading what I have written, therefore I am a writer.   I know that it is lonely sometimes and you wonder why bother.  I write to live.  I can not write. You can be a self-published writer in less than a mont...
