Create a Routine

I no longer have a regular job.  I quit my job to write.  Sounds good and it is awesome not have to get dressed or have a sleep schedule.  The problem is there is no routine.  I get up when I want.  I go to bed when I want and I can stay in my pj's all day and sit in front of the tv if I want.

Wait, I am suppose to be writing.  When am I suppose to do this?

I am not a morning person.  I do not like to get up early.  I like to stay up late and sleep in.  By the time I get up, the chickens need to be checked on, I might need to run errands and now I have to think about the garden.

Sleeping until ten is great, but I am not writing because when I get up this late, I need to do other things.

Today I got up at 7:00am and have been on the computer for the past three hours and I have acutally been writing.

Whether I like it or not, if I want to write and blog, I need to get up early.  Not by choice.

The good thing about getting up early, is that I write first thing, then I have the rest of the day to do whatever I want.

Sleeping in is not working for me if I want to write and blog.  That is a fact.  So if I just want to sit around and watch tv, then I might as well stop thinking about writing.

I am a writer though.  I write that is who I am and what I do, whether anyone cares or not.  I am a writer.

So now I need to go and check on the chickens.  and check for eggs.  The sun is out and spring is here, now I can enjoy the day and do whatever because I just wrote for 3 hours.  I can always come back and write some more, which is what I might do later.

Being a writer is great, as long as we find time in our day to write

Writing When Sick

I didn't feel good the last two days.  I slept a lot, but I was still thinking about my writing.  I did sit on the couch with my laptop and did some writing, though that I know that I need to do rewrite, but I did write.  Today I feel better and hopefully I will get more pages into the computer.  I started the rewrite of a novel that has been rejected 20 times and I will get it back on the market. So that I it.  I am going to start writing and get this done. What are you working on??? This is a new year.....New Beginning. Don't Be Scammed

This is my number one pet peeve on being self published.  There are people, website, and courses out there, that want your money. THINK BEFORE YOU SPEND! There are websites out there that will charge you for services that you can learn to do yourself.  If you don't want to learn these things that is fine, pay for it.  But if the reason that you are paying for services is because you don't t think you can, you are totally wrong. I have said this before and I am saying it again.  I knew nothing when I started in 2011,  I had a computer.  I had no idea how to send a file via e-mail. I had no idea what to do one I got the file back from the formatter.  How do I get it uploaded on Amazon.  I had no idea that I had more than one drive on the computer.  I downloaded a file and had no idea where it went. If you are thinking that you can not learn this.  I am proof you can learn if you set your mind to it and are willing to learn. Don't...
